Yes, it is perfectly normal to feel nervous when seeking counselling. It is understandable to feel this way when you don't know what to expect. I am deeply mindful and respectful of this. My role is to put you at ease. Like any relationship, it will take time for you to build trust in me. You will quickly realise that I don't diagnose, tell you what to do nor read your thoughts. What I will provide is a safe and confidential environment for you to discuss your inner thoughts and feelings.
Individual $120/hour

We accept payment by credit card, Bpay and bank transfer.
Payment is required prior to your appointment to confirm your booking. Payments by bank transfer, require a transaction advice from your bank to be either emailed, text messaged, to confirm payment.
If for some reason your prepaid appointment needs to be rescheduled/cancelled, you have up to 30 days to rebook and utilise the appointment or request a refund before the credit lapses.
We will make one reminder call to rebook an appointment or organise a refund, but it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure your paid appointment is utilised. Aspire Holistic Counselling does not have the accounting resources to monitor appointment credit for extended periods of time. Please note that rescheduling and refunds may be subject to a cancellation fee (see below).
We understand that sometimes you need to change your appointment, and we kindly ask for 48 hours or more notice when doing so. This allows sufficient time for us to rebook your appointment slot. If notice is given the day before or on the day of booking it will incur a charge of 50% of the counselling fee. Non-attendance of a scheduled appointment will also incur the same fee.
Rescheduling of appointments will not be accommodated until payment of the fee has been received. A cancellation fee will NOT apply when an appointment cannot be attended due to illness, BUT ONLY WHEN a doctors or chemist certificate is obtained for the day of the appointment. On presentation of the certificate (and subject to its verification), the prepayment will then be carried over to a rescheduled appointment time or a full refund given if requested. We regret the need to introduce this policy, but late cancellations and 'no-shows' represent a considerable cost to our business.

I encourage all of my clients to contact their private health insurance to find out whether they are covered for psychotherapy, each fund is different.
Depending on how busy my schedule is, typically I can see you within a week of our initial phone call.
Each person is unique and there is no “average” number of sessions. I am flexible and can accommodate your needs; depending on your schedule or budget we may want to meet more or less frequently than this.
Initially clients begin with weekly sessions, usually on the same day and time. Once we both feel that you are making progress with your issue, time between sessions begins to stretch out.
The length of therapy will be determined by your specific needs and goals. In the course of therapy, we will establish points at which to evaluate your satisfaction and progress. Also, I will encourage you to raise any questions or concerns that you have about therapy at any time.
The goal of my work is not to make you “therapy-dependent.” Rather, I attempt to provide you with the skills and tools needed to become competent at using in your daily life.
Counselling is not a magic wand solution, but it will help you gain new insights and perspectives. Over a period of time, this may aid you in creating a more satisfying and positive life. During our time together you will learn strategies to assist you when new challenges emerge. To ensure that you get the most from our time together, at the start of each counselling session we will discuss your goals for that session.
